MINISO opens its doors at Southside on Friday 10 March at midday. To get the lowdown on what you can expect from the latest arrival we spoke with Sarah from head office.
Tell us about MINISO.
MINISO is a lifestyle store for all the family, offering an exciting range of innovative and high-quality design led products, including toys, tech, stationery, accessories, home, food, fitness, and beauty – all for great value for money.
We have exclusive partnerships with many well-loved brands, such as Disney, Minions, and We Bare Bears, and we proudly collaborate with a team of international designers from China, Korea, Sweden, and Denmark, among others.
What can people expect at your new Southside store?
We like to describe MINISO as a mini department store as there’s so much choice, from tech to stationery, homeware, kitchenware, gifts, toys, and accessories. We really do have something for everyone, all at a great price.
What makes MINISO a unique shopping experience?
Shopping at MINISO is like going on an adventure, you never know what you might find. We stock thousands of exclusive products, and we also host fun activities like face painting and arts and crafts during the school holidays.
What’s your favourite MINISO product at the moment?
That’s a tough one! There’s so much to choose from, but if I had to it would be our plush toys. We stock hundreds and they’re the cutest and softest plushies you’ll ever find.
Are there any offers people can enjoy when the store launches?
We encourage our customers to queue early as we offer free goody bags worth over £25 to our first 150 customers who make a purchase. We also have special offers for customers to use on their next visit. You’ll also get to experience our high-octane Clatterati drummers, who are always a crowd favourite, as well as enjoy delicious cupcakes, and even meet PenPen, our giant adorable penguin mascot!
What’s your favourite thing about Wandsworth Town?
Wandsworth’s liveliness is one of its best attributes. MINISO is all about fun and we like to be part of vibrant and exciting communities, and Wandsworth Town, and the people who live and work here, are full of life and energy.
