Spotlight: Teeny Tempo

Meet Teeny Tempo, the new sensory classes for babies coming to Wandsworth from September. We caught up with founder Tiff to find out more.

Tell us who you are and what you do.

We are Teeny Tempo and we run sensory classes for babies with a focus on motor skills development.

We launch in September. Our classes are guaranteed fun for babies and give local parents the opportunity to socialise.

Our two instructors, Lauren and Alice, run classes across South West London. They have a wealth of experience working as nannies, as well as the additional skills they’ve acquired through stage work and admin. At the back-end, communicating with our customers, you’ll find me – Tiff. I left my career in finance behind to create Teeny Tempo, just as my maternity leave is coming to an end.

What inspired you to start Teeny Tempo?

I spent a lot of my maternity leave attending baby sensory classes with my daughter, Roxie. I loved them so much, but I felt that an element of fun was missing.

Teeny Tempo blends sensory play and motor skill development. During our classes, instructors assist parents in helping their little ones learn and develop key motor skills, such as tummy time, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, and even walking!

How do baby sensory classes work?

Baby sensory classes are designed to help babies learn and have fun by stimulating their senses, such as tactile, audio, and visual. They are also a great way for babies to interact and observe other babies, which is essential in developing their social skills.

Who can take part?

Our classes are suitable for babies from new-born to standing, so around two to fourteen months. Parents have the option to book onto our ‘New-born to Sitting’ or ‘Crawling to Standing’ classes, based on their baby’s current ability.

Where can we find you in Wandsworth?

You can find us at The County Arms every Tuesday afternoon.

What’s your favourite thing about Wandsworth Town?

We absolutely love the community feel in Wandsworth. The various cafes and shops are all local and welcoming, and it’s a lovely place to live and hangout. Especially for families, with access to so many parks and fun activities.
