Royal Trinity Hospice is seeking Compassionate Neighbours

Royal Trinity Hospice is on the lookout for locals to sign up and become Compassionate Neighbours and help end loneliness.

The hospice, which covers south-west and central London, will be launching their campaign with autumn training sessions, where locals are invited to donate their time to those battling loneliness, either through old age or illness.

People who are naturally empathetic, good listeners, and local to London are encouraged to apply.

By volunteering you will actively be helping lonely people to feel part of their community again. In fact, 100% of people matched with a Compassionate Neighbour reported feeling less lonely after six months, and 100% of the volunteers said they would recommend the project to others.

How do I get involved?

You will be required to attend three training sessions (a mix of online and in-person):

Thursday 24 September and Thursday 26 September, 7-9pm, online.
Friday 4 October, 11am-4pm, in person at Royal Trinity Hospice, SW4 0RN

If you can’t make these dates but you’re still keen to get involved then keep an eye out for future training sessions.
