Bayley & Sage have been celebrating more than 25 years in business, offering up fresh, seasonal produce to inspire delicious meals.
We caught up with them to find out more about their summer stock as well as their exciting new rosé range.
What’s the story of Bayley & Sage?
Jenny Allen started Bayley & Sage in 1997, with her first store in Wimbledon village, where she found a great community. With a vision to create fresh food stores filled with the most delicious produce for our customers that never compromise on quality, the B&S story began.
We now have 13 stores, including our homeware store, Abode.
Tell us about your store on Old York Road
We love our Old York Road store because of its village atmosphere. While it’s one of our smaller stores, you can still expect to find everything you might need, from sandwiches for a quick lunch or picnic to all of the fixings for hosting a dinner party.
We hear your wine range is expanding, what can we expect?
We’ve expanded our rosé offering this summer, and there’s something for everyone! In addition to our own label Bayley & Sage rosé from Provence, we will have offerings from Portugal, Italy, Spain and Uruguay.
It’s a really lovely range and perfect for summer. To celebrate, we’re launching a rosé loyalty card! Pick up on of our loyalty cards in store in the coming days, and with every 10 bottles purchased, you will receive a bottle of Bayley & Sage rosé on us.
What are some of your best seasonal products at the moment?
English asparagus is on its last few weeks so definitely a good idea to grab some if you haven’t already.
Coming into season now are stone fruits, so cherries, peaches, nectarines and watermelons are all looking particularly fresh. English strawberries should be with us soon!
What’s your favourite thing about Wandsworth Town?
We love being a part of Wandsworth Town because of the wonderful community and our lovely local customers.
