Wandsworth Town is the home of big entertainment, and one local spot that always delivers the fun is Boom Battle Bar.
We caught up with manager Jack Stodel to discuss games, events, and to launch our exclusive competition for you and a friend to win an all expenses paid evening at Boom’s new Latin Night on 4 October.
Hey Jack, tell us who you are and what you do.
Hi! I’m Jack Stodel, manager of Boom Battle Bar, Wandsworth.
Boom Wandsworth is the home of scorching nights out and competitive experiences. We have a wide range of games, including axe-throwing and shuffleboard, as well as boozy cocktails and delicious street food.
Where can we find Boom Wandsworth?
We are located at Ram Quarter; a literal stone’s throw from Southside Shopping Centre, and a hop, skip and a jump from Wandsworth Town Station.
What other games do you have?
What games don’t we have!
We’ve got fresh takes on pub classics, like pool and augmented reality darts, but we’ve also got a 9-hole crazy golf course, beer pong, ping-pong, and a selection of arcade machines.
Our most popular game is definitely axe-throwing.
Which game gets the most competitive?
I think it has to be shuffleboard. It’s tricky at first, but you quickly find your groove and, before you know it, you’ll be screaming at your teammate and the opposition. It’s great fun.
Tell us about your menu.
Our drinks menu includes timeless classics, like mojitos and martinis, but our signature cocktail is the Boom Punch, which is a tantalising spin on a classic rum punch.
Our food menu offers some tasty bites, including chicken burgers, smothered hotdogs, pizzas, and more. We also have a lot of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, too.
What do you recommend?
My perfect night at Boom Wandsworth would be a round of AR darts and axe-throwing, then I’d be sipping on a Boom Punch – or five – and tucking into a tasty chicken katsu burger. Perfection!
Do you have a favourite cocktail from your impressive menu?
My favourite cocktail is only available on our Latin Nights. It was curated by Martina, our bar supervisor, and it’s called the El Tío Wray. It’s perfectly balanced and hits the spot every time.
Tell us about your Latin Nights.
Our Latin Nights are the place to be! Expect Spanish and Latin food, booming salsa, bachata, merengue, and reggaeton as well as exclusive cocktails, like the El Tío Wray.
We’ve gone all out to bring the flavours and energy of the Latin and Hispanic culture to South-West London.
