The (Brew)Dog has been unleashed in Wandsworth Town. To commemorate the arrival of one of the country’s biggest craft beer purveyors we caught up with the BrewDog Wandsworth’s new manager, Simon Wallen, to find out more about their latest venture.
Tell us who you are and what you do.
I’m Simon Wallen and I’m the General Manager of BrewDog Wandsworth.
How did the idea come about to bring BrewDog to Wandsworth?
We were looking to open another site in South West London and we love the sense of community in Wandsworth, especially as it already has such a thriving craft beer scene, with the likes of Sambrook’s, and Mondo and Belleville on your doorstep. We’re looking forward to featuring their beer alongside our own and joining the already buzzing hospitality scene in the area.
What can visitors expect from your latest London venue?
You can expect a great atmosphere, incredible craft beer from BrewDog as well as our favourite guest breweries, our new range of cocktails, and of course, our epic menu of burgers, wings, salads, and brunch on the weekend. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for as nearly all our headliner beef range is vegan, and 50% of our food menu is plant-based. We’re also always dog friendly!
What beer do you recommend at the moment?
Our Lost Lager is currently our most popular beer, and it’s a perfectly refreshing pint after a day of work.
What offers can we enjoy?
We do Vegan Mondays which is two-for-one on all plant-based mains, and there’s Wing Wednesdays with our all-you-can-eat buffalo chicken, cauliflower or seitan wings. On weekends we offer Bottomless Brunch, which is 90mins of unlimited beer or prosecco and brunch for just £30, with the option to upgrade to unlimited cocktails for just an extra £10.
We also run a variety of student deals.
What does a BrewDog brunch entail?
Our brunch menu is EPIC! Customers can enjoy Korean bacon bao buns, chicken & waffles, pancakes, and so much more. You can find more info and book your table on our website.
Does BrewDog Wandsworth have a co-working space?
Yes! You can sign up to Desk Dog and co-work in one of our awesome bars, with unlimited tea or coffee, and a pint at the end of the day, for just £10.
Do you do beer tasting experiences?
Our beer schools offer a guided tasting experience through some of our most popular beers with our cicerone-trained bar crew. The experience is £25 and includes five 1/3 pints of our favourite brews with are expertly paired with a delicious cheeseboard. It’s the ultimate way to boost your beer knowledge, or it makes a great date and a great gift.
Is it true you host dog parties?
Yes! We love dogs at BrewDog, and all our venues host Dog Pawties. At just £5 per pup your pooch can enjoy a dog-friendly ice cream sundae, a party hat and a card. Plus, £1 of each booking goes to the charity Street Paws.
What’s your favourite thing about Wandsworth Town?
We love Wandsworth Town’s thriving beer and hospitality scene. We’re pumped to be so close to such epic craft breweries.
