Tell us who you are and what you do?
We are Sarah Newton, founder and long time C-Suite executive, who was going slowly mad in the corporate world and decided to launch a wine business. Sarah is joined by her business partner Denise Medrano, who has two decades’ experience in fine wine and manages the fine wine buying, events, and our new location on Old York Road.
What’s the story behind Coolersomm?
Coolersomm originated in the pandemic as the brainchild of a wine fanatic who wanted to find a way to combine her passion and her work (don’t we all!) Luckily it stuck.
Originally a wine fridge business, now with over 250 wine fridges for sale, we quickly moved into fine wine and wine accessories all at the premium end. The business started as a pure online business but with the move to Old York Road we now have a premises to sell our fine wine primarily, as well as selling fine wine by the glass, together with some nice cheese and charcuterie, and we also have a selection of wine glasses, corkscrews, wine education materials and a showroom for our wine fridges.
What can we expect?
The best wine shop in town! We provide a knowledgeable service, delicious small plates and cheese boards, and a place to relax outside with a glass of something special on a sunny afternoon, or inside with a warming red during the chilly winter months.
Are you running any promotional offers at the moment?
It’s a secret! You’ll have to come down and see. Free flowing Champagne anyone?
What’s your favourite thing about Wandsworth Town?
We’re new to Wandsworth Town, neither of us have lived here but we are both SW Londoners. We’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm of the locals for our new venture and we’re looking forward to serving them over the years (and decades?) to come!
