Tell us who you are and what you do.
I’m Aaron and I’m the owner of Gymboree Play & Music, Wandsworth and Wimbledon. We run award-winning and fun-filled classes for babies and children from 0-5 years.
Originally coming from a theatre background, I have been part of the Gymboree Play & Music family for six years now. We opened our first site in Chiswick, then Wimbledon, and now Wandsworth.
How did Gymboree Play & Music come about?
It was created in California in the 70s to meet the need for interactive and development-focussed classes for young children. Since then, it has spread around the world and there are now more than 700 Gymboree Play & Music centres in 40 countries around the world; and 15 of them are based right here in the UK.
Tell us about your classes.
Based around our custom-designed play equipment, our classes use music, song, dance and imaginative play to create a wonderful learning experience for every child. All classes are led by highly-trained and enthusiastic teachers and are carefully structured so that every activity is specifically tailored towards a developmental goal. We run Play & Learn, Music, Art and Sensory classes as well as Drop-Off Sports and Drop-Off Theatre Arts for our older members.
What are your membership options?
We have three main membership options depending on how many times a week you’d like to come along.
Standard Membership: £69.50 per month for one class per week plus unlimited access to Open Gym sessions.
Premium Membership: £89.50 per month for two classes per week plus unlimited access to Open Gym sessions.
Platinum Membership: £129.50 per month for unlimited access to classes and Open Gym sessions.
If you can’t commit to a membership, we also offer £20 PAYG sessions or a Class-Pass for £85, which gives you five classes to book in as you wish over a three-month period.
Are you running any offers at the moment?
We are currently offering trial classes for £15. This allows you to come along and try out one of our sessions with no commitment.
Do you host birthday parties?
Yes, we do indeed run parties every weekend! With packages starting from £200, we can host your little one’s birthday party and look after everything, so that you can avoid all the usual stress of party planning. All you need to do is let us know your child’s favourite games, songs and activities and we’ll create a bespoke event just for you, with exclusive use of our venue, an enthusiastic party leader, decorations, plus all set up and clean-up on the day.
