Hey Louis! Tell us about Sly Dog Rum.
We are Sly Dog Rum, producers of premium spiced and flavoured rums, based in Wandsworth. Our mission is simple: craft outstanding flavoured rums and bring a new generation of rum drinkers along with us.
How did Sly Dog Rum come about?
We wanted to change the stereotypes associated with rum. It’s so much more than pirates, parrots and palm trees. We wanted to create a brand where the liquid is the champion, without the need for outdated, seafaring motives.
We spent 12 months with leading industry professionals to develop our first recipe before we unleashed Sly Dog to the world in March 2021
Tell us about your award-winning beverages.
Both our products use the same base rum. A blend of premium Dominican and Jamaican rums, aged for three years in whisky barrels before heading to the UK, where we craft the flavours into our rum.
Our rums are expertly crafted to be sip-able on the rocks, delicious with a mixer and perfect in a cocktail.
In 2023, we were crowned The World’s Best Spiced Rum at The World Rum Awards.

What’s your favourite Sly Dog cocktail?
With the Spiced it would be The Sly ‘n’ Stormy: Sly Dog Spiced, lime juice, ginger beer and angostura bitters. And with the Stoned Fruit, we recommend a Stoned Spritz (Sly Dog Stoned, pineapple syrup or juice, and lemonade.
