We met with Darren at The Entertainer, Wandsworth, to find out about their must-have toys, competitions, and the best movie merchandise from some of the year’s biggest family blockbusters.
Tell us who you are and what you do.
I’m Darren Buckley and I’m the store manager of The Entertainer, Wandsworth.
What’s happening this month at The Entertainer?
From 11 May until 25 May, we are running an Icon Hunt competition for a chance to win a £100 prize bundle! Customers have to find hidden letters around the store and enter the hidden word on their form (which you can pick up in-store).
What are some of the must-have toys you stock?
We have a large variety of different products across many different categories, but our Hot Wheels cars – which are currently 3 for 2 – are very popular, and highly collectable.
We also stock Squishmallows which come in a few different sizes, and we have lots of different characters available.
What about movie toys from the latest family blockbusters?
We have a lot of stock from a variety of movies, like the new Super Mario Bros. Movie, Star Wars, Sonic the Hedgehog, and of course the Marvel and DC franchises.
We’ve most recently stocked toys from The Little Mermaid.
What do you like most about Wandsworth Town?
The community, and there’s lots to do for entertainment and socialising. We have lots of regular returning customers in the area who have been coming for years.
