We are calling on Wandsworth Town Businesses to join our Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP).
Many businesses in Wandsworth Town have said that safety and security are amount their top priorities. This is why we have established the BCRP, to help improve reporting of criminal and antisocial behaviour in the area. Launched in September 2021, several business have already joined to help improve the way offenders, especially repeat offenders, in the town centre are dealt with.
How Does It Work?
The BCRP is run jointly by Wandsworth Town BID and the Safer Business Network. We also work closely with Wandsworth Council, The Met Police and Southside Shopping Centre.
The BCRP uses Safer Business Network’s London-wide network to help identify prolific offers and collect evidentiary support to help the Met Police take action. They also run a community exclusion scheme to prevent repeat offenders returning and send weekly updates and monthly newsletters so you can stay alert and aware about any one or thing that might affect your business.
Businesses can share information on events and offenders using the network to help raise awareness with other businesses. The information can also be used by Wandsworth Town BID and other local governing bodies to provide effective solutions to the most pressing problems.
