Thursday 16th June 2022 is World Refill Day. This global campaign is to help raise awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution, and how it damages the environment and endangers the health and life of animals, fish and even people. By making a small change and cutting down on excess waste and refilling your reusable water bottles, coffee cups and jars, we can collectively makes a huge, positive difference.

As a registered Refill Scheme, When in Wandsworth Town is calling on all businesses, visitors and residents to take steps to try and go single-use plastic-free for the day. We have taken steps to make refilling easier in Wandsworth Town; many businesses in Wandsworth Town are now a part of our Refill scheme and will top up anyone’s reusable bottle (bring your own) with tap water. We have also successfully installed a Thames Water drinking fountain by Wandsworth Town station, in partnership with City to Sea and the Mayor of London, to ensure that everyone can top up reusable water bottles at any time. It’s never been easier to stay healthy and hydrated!
